Where to go...where to go...

So I sat down yesterday in my family room and took out a map of the world. My objective was to set down a list of countries I would like to visit. Unfortunately the U.S was in the center of the map with Southeast Asia on the borders. It took a few pieces of tape and a little bit of creative folding before I could get started.

The first thing I have to say is the world is big. No kidding right? Everyone knows that but it really doesn’t hit you until you start thinking about how to move between countries and suddenly there is a big mass of land (or water) between you and where you want to go.

Anyways, I put together a list of countries that I would like to visit as well as if I will need a visa or not. The countries, in no specific order are:

China YES
Vietnam YES
Laos YES
Thailand NO
Bangladesh YES
India YES
Nepal YES
Malaysia NO
Indonesia YES
Cambodia YES
Singapore YES
Hong Kong NO

From here I can figure out a travel order, what cities I wish to visit, which companies to try and interview, how long to stay, etc. It may not seem like much but big things are done in small steps.

Big dreams son. A lot of places to go. How will you finance this “adventure” of yours, and where will you be when you get back?? and what preparations have you made as to what you will do when you get back?? maybe you should consider some of these factors as well. It might be best to keep both feety on the ground and in reality. Sorry to rain on your parade.
